Forehead Contouring in Iran

The cost of cosmetic surgery in Iran is much lower than in other countries, so it is a good destination for medical tourism. One of the common surgeries performed by skilled and experienced Iranian surgeons is forehead contouring. The method of this operation will be different for each person depending on the anatomy of the individual.  In the following, we will become more familiar with this type of surgery.

What is the purpose of this cosmetic surgery?

The forehead is one of the parts of the face that may look masculine or feminine depending on the shape and size. Male foreheads usually have a bony protrusion just above the eyes and under the eyebrows, with a series of bony strands just above the eyes and under the eyebrows, while the female forehead is smoother.

The purpose of forehead contouring is to create a more feminine look for prominent foreheads with bony protrusions above the eyebrows. Forehead contouring surgery is done to shrink the prominent forehead and remove the bulge and change the forehead bones and the bones around the eyes to create a more natural and beautiful look. So, it can have the following results:

  •  Repair of forehead curve through implants
  • Correction of forehead bulge from 3 to 5 mm
  •  Remove excessive protrusion of the forehead bone and remove your sunken and deep eyes

How is forehead contouring performed?

The surgery is performed under local anesthesia and takes about 3 hours. Types of forehead contouring include fat injections, bone cement, silicone sheets, and e-PTFE (Gore-Tex).

Fat injection: Your cosmetic surgeon can remove fat from your own body. This can be done under local anesthesia. In this method, no wounds are left, but the result of this method is not permanent.

Bone cement: Most surgeons prefer to use bone cement, which is the diseased living bone, because it is resistant and easily adjustable.

Silicon Sheets: Silicone sheets are more difficult to adjust than other methods. That is why this method is not so common.

PTFE (Gore-Tex): A synthetic material that can be inserted through a fine slit in the desired location.

Forehead Contouring is a procedure that involves shaving the eyebrow bone and changing the forehead bone. The protruding parts of the forehead bone on which the eyebrows rest have a strong bone that can be cut.
